Nasty Rhode Island Surprise

Posted by Admin Posted on Feb 25 2021

Some Rhode Islanders are in for a nasty surprise at tax time. That's because, in response to the federal government repealing the penalty for failing to have adequate health insurance, Rhode Island politicians swung into action, enacting their own penatly provision for 2020 and forward. The penalty can be as high as $16,800 for a family of five.

You can read more about it at RI Health Insurance Mandate.
